The Bakery
Cakes by Louise is a well-loved, nostalgia-driven bakery based in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines. It brought back the iconic “Monster” chocolate cake that was first sold by Cookie Monster Bakery in 1977. The cake is known for its dense and moist texture, rich thick frosting, and signature lattice design on top. The recipe was revived by the founders’ granddaughter, continuing the legacy of the original bakery for a new generation.
Our Story
In 1977, a group of friends opened a small bakery in Makati City.
At the time, they never imagined that their Chocolate Cake would become something their customers would remember for years.
More than forty years later, one of the founders passed these recipes down to her granddaughter, Louise. During the pandemic lockdown, they spent their days baking together, sharing stories, laughing, and making new memories along the way.
Cakes by Louise eventually began after friends encouraged them to share the flavors they loved with their own growing families. Through Cakes by Louise, the hope is that each cake can help create new memories while carrying forward a tradition that began in that small café decades ago.
Our Mission
Cakes by Louise strives to continue a family tradition by sharing the cakes that once brought people together decades ago. Each cake is made with the same care, warmth, and sense of nostalgia that began in a small bakery in 1977 and was later passed down through generations. Through every slice, Cakes by Louise hopes to help families slow down, gather together, and create new memories of their own.
The Team
Tiny Guidotti works alongside his daughter, Louise, in continuing their family’s baking tradition. What started as time spent together in the kitchen soon grew into a shared passion that helped bring Cakes by Louise to life.
